Day 128: Why You Need To Put Yourself Second Place.

Helping other people is not only good for them, it is a good thing to do. It makes you more happy and more healthy. When you give, it connects you to others, building stronger societies and building a happier community where each and everyone is thriving. We can give our ideas, skills, energy among other resources.

‘Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others’, that is a scripture in Timothy admonishing us to be of service

You scratch my back, I will scratch yours is a familiar statement and which goes against the above scriptural admonishment. It is normal nowadays to extend your hand with an expectation for a favor in return. People want to extend their hand if they can leverage it to get into a new opportunity or get some goodies.

Today, I want to remind you that brave and strong people deny themselves and serve others wholeheartedly. With gain or with no gain. They take what God has given them and give it generously, Any resource you have should make an impact wherever you are or go. Everything; your skills, your money, your talents, your gifts, your ideas and even your persona.

Go on and be of service to someone, to an organisations and even to a ministry that you belong to. Extend your hands and serve someone. Allow God to lead you to serve. Someone deeply long for your service. If you reach out, you can change a person’s life.

My good friend, have the courage to put yourself and all of your wants second place so that whatever it is you have, what God has actually given you as a steward makes a difference in someone lese life. there is no better time to extend your love like now, where so many people have been negatively been affeced by Covid-19 pandemic.
