Day 54: Consistency: Be in it for the long haul

Many people give up on their goals few weeks or months into them, they feel discouraged that they still have not achieved their goals or the results they are looking at are lackluster. I am sorry to be the one telling you, the world does not operate that way. With very few exceptions, no one can build an enterprise or a ministry in four or six months, become an expert in one month or lose weight overnight.

I shared post on The power of Consistency, you can read it here. This small article is just to reiterate the same concept, being consistent in the long haul. The sky is the limit for the one who is in it for the long haul. Ten years of consistency will turn anyone into a an expert in a field he/she is dediacted to. When you build momentum, you will experience results exponentially. The idea is to stick to you goals long enough for results to accrue.

My covenant I will not violate, Nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.

Ps 89:34

It has taken two years for my daugher to combine more than one word and make a short sentense, it has taken her two years to know her mum’s name. It takes time to see results. It is a process that has taken two years, that have resulted in her becoming more confident to explore and interact with people.

When you think of a goal, think of a long-term approach. Unlike the person who assumes that they will achieve results overnight, be in it for the long haul, and the short-term fluctuations and challenges will not make you give up.
