Day 4: Safety zone is good for us

When you repeatedly find yourself in the same place, doing the same thing, going the same places and meeting the same people, you may assume and accept that life is all about that. Apparently, this is far from reality.

When we start accepting the status quo and when we become blinded to believe we cannot amount to something better than we already have, we slide into a comfort zone. We align behaviors to keep us in the comfort zone, behaviors which keep us safe.

There is no problem when you keep a job you do not like, it pays up your bills and help you move along the murky waters of life in the moment. This is your safety zone, safety zone because the not so good job can help you get a better job if you are purposeful and deliberate. It is like a trampoline that can thrust you upward.

It becomes a problem when you sit back, watch, lament, blame and murmur. Magic happens when you believe you deserve better. The belief makes you uncomfortable and instead of watching, murmuring and blaming, you get down with deliberate actions that will propel you upwards.

So, get to understand your safety zone, remember what keeps you safe might move and your comfort zone will cease to be comfortable and it will expose you to harsh realities.
